Booking, pricing, service requirements, payment, cancellations, and service limitations.

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once Obsidian Detailing has agreed a date, time, location, and service with you by message. Enquiries, estimated availability, and informal discussions do not count as a confirmed booking.

2. Service Requirements

The ideal setup is access to a standard domestic power socket and an outdoor water tap at the service address. If these are unavailable on arrival, the booking may need to be delayed, rescheduled, adjusted, or cancelled depending on what is workable on site.

3. Vehicle Condition & Accurate Information

You are responsible for giving an honest description of the vehicle’s condition when booking. This includes issues such as heavy pet hair, mould, excessive mud, biohazards, staining, severe neglect, or anything likely to increase time and labour. If the condition is materially worse than described, the quoted service may need to be changed, repriced, or declined before work continues.

4. Pricing

Website prices are guide prices for the stated package and assume a vehicle condition broadly in line with that package. Your exact price will be confirmed before booking wherever possible. If the vehicle presented requires significantly more time or work than expected, any price adjustment will be discussed with you before additional work is carried out.

5. Payment

No upfront payment is taken unless clearly agreed otherwise in writing. Payment is due on the day of the service by the payment method agreed at booking. If payment is not made when due, future bookings may be refused.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Repeated short-notice cancellations, no-shows, or non-response may lead to future bookings being declined. Obsidian Detailing may also reschedule a booking where weather, safety, access, or working conditions make the job unsuitable to complete properly.

7. Weather Conditions

Mobile detailing is weather-dependent. If conditions are unsuitable for safe or proper work, the appointment may be moved to the next suitable slot. This is done to protect service quality rather than force through poor results.

8. Pre-existing Defects

Obsidian Detailing is not responsible for issues arising from pre-existing defects or weak areas of the vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, failing clear coat, poor previous repairs, loose trim, loose badges, brittle plastics, weakened fabrics, damaged switches, failing lacquer, or already-damaged components.

9. Service Limitations

Detailing improves cleanliness, presentation, and ease of maintenance. It does not make an older or damaged vehicle factory-new. Services currently offered do not include machine paint correction unless explicitly stated. Existing swirl marks, scratches, stone chips, staining, wear, and deeper defects may remain visible after the service.

10. Satisfaction & Results

Obsidian Detailing aims to provide a high standard of service and fair outcome for the package booked. If you have a genuine issue with the completed service, it should be raised as soon as possible on the day so it can be reviewed fairly. Satisfaction wording does not mean guaranteed perfection, guaranteed defect removal, or results beyond the limits of the package booked.

11. Maintenance Wash Eligibility

The Maintenance Wash is an upkeep service for eligible vehicles already at a maintainable standard. It is not intended for heavily neglected or heavily soiled vehicles. If a vehicle falls below maintenance standard, a higher-level service may be required before maintenance pricing applies again.

12. Maintenance Club Terms

The Obsidian Maintenance Club is intended for vehicles that have already received a Seasonal Protection Detail or Full Detail Reset, or are otherwise approved as being at a maintainable standard. If a member vehicle is presented with excessive soiling, heavy pet hair, biohazards, or abnormal neglect, extra work may be required and club pricing may not apply until the vehicle is brought back to standard.

13. Right to Refuse or Stop Work

Obsidian Detailing reserves the right to refuse, limit, or stop work where vehicle condition, customer conduct, unsafe access, undisclosed contamination, unrealistic expectations, or on-site conditions make the job unsuitable.

14. Insurance Position

At the present time, Obsidian Detailing does not state that it holds insurance cover unless explicitly confirmed in writing. No wording on this website should be read as implying insured status where that has not yet been put in place.

15. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
